Small Family CSA’s mission is to raise a wide variety of organically grown vegetables on a small family farm to supply a 300 member CSA program while preserving a sustainable farm ecosystem. They aspire to produce supreme quality, freshness and flavor in the produce through paying close attention to mineral balancing, organic matter and fertility in the soil.

Small Family builds community by encouraging member involvement in big and small ways either through hands-on Worker Share program or through On-Farm Events each Spring and Fall. As young, first-generation farmers, they work to preserve some of the farmer knowledge from our veteran farmers. Adam and Jillian are truly in love with the work of farming and are responsible stewards of the land.

AMISH FARMS

AMISH FARMS

We can’t give you a link or photo of the lovely Amish farms where we get most of our cabbage because it is against the rules! We found some of the sweetest, most beautiful farms, nestled deep in the driftless valleys to buy our cabbage. We are pleased to provide a market for their otherwise often wasted cabbage seconds.

“Seconds” cabbage are not the perfect retail cabbage. Some are smaller and some are larger. These cabbage are very good quality and we are so glad that we have a use for them. Our Amish farmers work hard and rarely profit from the care they put into their farming.

We have found the Amish I work with to be exceptionally friendly and easy to work with! They have been super helpful and clear in all our interactions!

Harmony Valley Farm reaps the benefits of over 40 years farming experience from Richard de Wilde, who has been growing organic vegetables since 1973. Richard goes above and beyond organics, placing great value on soil fertility and on an integrated, healthy, natural growing environment.

Harmony Valley Farm's CSA now supplies over 1500 families with certified organic seasonal produce from May through December. They plant a wide variety of vegetables and fruits to offer a diverse, seasonal cooking and eating adventure. They grow, wash, chill & pack our vegetables for delivery to your neighborhood and strive to offer the cleanest, freshest, tastiest variety of organic produce available anywhere.

Driftless Organics story begins back in 1993 when Josh & Noah were nine and eleven years old and they grew potatoes for a summer project. Each year they expanded with dreams of becoming ‘real’ farmers. Today they manage over 100 acres of ridge and valley fields in the enchanting Driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin. They produce fruit, vegetables and sunflower oil. They provide Fizzeology with variety of fine organic vegetables.
